Turab and Humza are the best. Their family business is a jewel in the Capital Region and the Hudson Valley. They have by far the best inventory and quality of rugs to be found in upstate New York. More importantly is the connection they make with their customers and the ongoing service they provide to them. I am a VERY happy customer.

Cleaned, rebound and rewove a section of our family heirloom Persian rug that had been damaged. Rug looks brand new. Worth the investment!

I had an excellent experience with Jafri Oriental Rugs— I had 2 8x10 rugs cleaned and delivered 1 1/2hr away. The rugs came back beautifully clean, and the delivery men put them in place (one upstairs). They were in and out job well done in about one minute. I would definitely use them again, and I highly recommend their service!

This is by far the best rug store/cleaner in the area. All of their rugs are one of a kind and all imported from the Middle East and Pakistan. Some of the nicest people I have ever met work their as well!

Humza was beyond helpful to us when went into today looking for a new rug for the dining room. He asked really thoughtful questions to truly understand the colors, patterns, and designs we wanted. The whole team was very patient and flipped through dozens and dozens of options happily. We learned a lot about the quality of their selection - everything they sell is hand woven. Humza also explained the historical significance of many of the colors and pattern choices. Overall, a great experience with a family business! We found a great piece!

I brought two smaller rugs for cleaning. The owner talks me into getting the smaller one fixed..the fray was gone and bottom starting to go. The explanation of why to do it and how precious my rug was, was very passionate. Places like these always put me off because when you know nothing of the subject, you have to put total trust in them. They are my late husband's family rugs. He knew about rugs. It's only been three years since he is gone so it was also emotional for me. I felt vulnerable and did not want to be taken advantage of. As soon as I walked in I got a good vibe of the place and the owner was friendly, warm and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease and trusting. They came back looking great and the work they did on the old one, over 100 years old, was amazing. Brought it back to life but it looks natural, not like it was "fixed." I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

I had moth damage to several rugs and was very negligent in addressing the situation, but Jafri was able to clean and repair them and they are again the beautiful rugs that I had initially purchased. Jafri Oriental Rugs is where to go if you have good rugs in need of cleaning and repair. And their beautiful inventory is vast and varied If you are looking to buy.

My niece and I recently dropped off two rugs that had been damaged by wasps. Turab, the owner, had both repaired. The results were outstanding. You would never know there had been damage! I had purchased my rug at a garage sale for $95; it is a beautiful flowered rug with a white background. I was reluctant to pay for a repair and opted to have the rug cut down to a smaller size (the wasp damage was on the edge). The first rug's repair had been completed some time before, so I knew whatever Turab did with my rug, it would be good, but when we went to pick it up yesterday, we were shocked and surprised. Turab had not cut the rug down -- he had repaired it! He was able to do it for only a small amount more than the cutting of the rug would have cost and he knew we would prefer a repair if the cost was not as high as we had been told it would be. He took a chance because he knew my niece, had worked with her on her rugs and knew her preferences. We we so amazed and delighted that Turab had done this!!! I never thought I'd see the beautiful rug I had purchased at a "bargain" price - I think a once in a lifetime event!!!! - whole again!!!! And it is! In all its glory, thanks to Turab. Comment: The owners snd staff at Jafri could not have been more responsive. Our family dog soiled our beautiful carpet snd we didn’t realize for several weeks. We were sure it was ruined but they did a fabulous job and the carpet looked like new. Their pick up and delivery were seamless and we couldn’t be more please with the service at Jafri Oriental Rugs!

Comment: I had an excellent experience with JAFRI cleaning. The rugs we gave for cleaning came back looking as good as new. The proprietors of this business understand it’s not a once size fits all approach to carpet cleaning and will work on a customized cleaning solutions based on the pieces you submit for restoration/cleaning. After speaking to the owners of the business you can understand why they get so many return customers as their service is second to none.

I bless the day I found Mr Jafri. As one who has collected rugs for 50 years, I both learned about their value and origins and had them beautifully cleaned and repaired.

Very beautiful rugs there, would have been a difficult decision. Only needed a rug pad this time. When we're in the market again, this is where we'll go. Pete, Delmar, NY

I like oriental carpets. One can buy very good machine-made rugs in the ancient patterns (they come from Turkey) but the Real Thing is the kind of thing your grandchildren can inherit and enjoy (I have a couple that were my great-grandparents'). Jafri imports rugs -- I gather, mostly from Pakistan; that's a crossroads area connecting ancient Persia to Mughal India. The selection at various price-points is excellent; the staff is knowledgeable. Short of a visit to town (ABC or Safavieh) there really is no competition. I've bought rugs at all three (and ended tossing out two rugs from ABC, one of which was loaded with moths...); I prefer Jafri across the board.

Mr Jafri is a pleasure to do business with. His workers have cleaned and repaired several of my rugs. The quality of work was excellent, and it was completely in a timely manner.

Tremendous selection of gorgeous rugs. All sizes, so helpful and knowledgeable. Great to try in home and work to coordinate with other furniture. Turab is great to deal with.

I am so pleased with the cleaning I had done. A rug that has been passed down in my family for years now, that has endured every stain possible, sat in basements and attics for years on end, is now pristine. I've fallen in love with it all over again just as I did when I was a little girl and it was in my Nanas house. I can't thank you enough. very attentive service. went for an appraisal and received an indication of the rug's value shortly after I walked in. left the rug for repair and cleaning. will update when I get the rug back. I am very pleased so far. also enjoyed being in a store where everything I saw was beautiful. a rare experience.

They did a great job cleaning my small cotton Turkish rug. It looks like new. My only complaint is that it took about 6 weeks when they originally said "at least 2," with mutterings about Hurricane Sandy. However, they did give me a loaner rug, so I'm very happy with them.
