A Persian Sarouk rug of this quality required enormous attention. This picture is following the post restoration work done on the rug. The rug came into the showroom with the following problems:
-Fringe and Binding was torn and required refringing and rebinding to fix the frame of the rug
-Numerous holes and rips were in the rug requiring reweaving of the floral motifs
-Dusting required to vacuum out all the dust particles
-Additionally, there were areas of the rug showing warp and weft coming thru which required color restoration work where touch up is performed on the rug to add vegetable dyes
-Lastly, following the reweaving the rug is finally sheared about half an inch to crop the pile of the rug down to the foundation

I bless the day I found Mr Jafri. As one who has collected rugs for 50 years, I both learned about their value and origins and had them beautifully cleaned and repaired.
Very beautiful rugs there, would have been a difficult decision. Only needed a rug pad this time. When we're in the market again, this is where we'll go. Pete, Delmar, NY
