This is an example of a classic Kashan rug. This rug came into the showroom as completely moth damaged and completely requring attention to the following areas:
-Field of the rug was moth damaged where Jafri Rug restoration did reweaving, not patchwork
-Fringe of the rug completely frayed and non-uniform requiring fringe implants
-Edging of the rug was unraveling requiring new binding to be added
The second picture shows the post restoration work, and the artistry shows that this rug maintains its antiquity and does not look newly made, it looks as though it came off the loom circa 1900.
Jafri Rug restoration completely restored this rug by doing the following:
1. Inspection and Assessment
2. Cleaning Before Restoration
3. Reweaving Damaged Sections
4. Fringe and Edge Repair
5. Dyeing and Color Restoration
6. Final Inspection

I bless the day I found Mr Jafri. As one who has collected rugs for 50 years, I both learned about their value and origins and had them beautifully cleaned and repaired.
Very beautiful rugs there, would have been a difficult decision. Only needed a rug pad this time. When we're in the market again, this is where we'll go. Pete, Delmar, NY
