A Persian prayer textbook antique rug of this threadbare quality with these
issues requires a very careful and specialized approach for cleaning and
restoration. Each problem needs to be addressed individually to restore the rug

The rug had a few issues:

-Moth damage in the field that ate thru the motifs which
requires reweaving and color restoration

-Fringe destroyed which requires fringe implant

-Faded vegetable dyes which requires brushing the rug with
oil and vegetable dye to bring back the original color of the rug

1. Assessment and Inspection:

Condition Check: Inspect the rug thoroughly for signs of
wear, including fraying edges, missing or damaged knots, stains, or fading.
